The Executive Training Seminar Working with Heritage and Conflict explores the contexts of difficult and contested heritage, and how cultural professionals can best work within them. Conflict over the meanings of the past and how to represent it has long been an issue for heritage professionals, but is increasingly relevant for policy makers and other cultural actors too. Recent years have seen heritage ‘weaponised’, with it being both destroyed or actively used to foster social divisions and exclusion.
